St Simon Stock Artists Triumph at KArtsCon 2025

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Kent Arts Conference 2025 (KArtsCon)—held from 16–18 July at the Historic Dockyard Chatham—was a huge success, and two of our very own students have made us incredibly proud.

Under the inspiring theme “Art to Be”, the conference brought together artists, educators, and creative thinkers from around the world to explore how art is evolving in response to technology, society, and the environment. From powerful panel discussions to hands-on workshops and a short film showcase, KArtsCon 2025 was a celebration of creativity and future-facing ideas.

A highlight of the event was the Schools Art Competition, open to students across Kent. We are delighted to announce that two students from St Simon Stock Secondary in Maidstone earned top honours, taking 1st and 2nd place with their outstanding artwork!

🏅 1st Place – Joe
🥈 2nd Place – Elena

Their work stood out among hundreds of submissions and was exhibited during the conference to widespread acclaim. What an incredible achievement! Their creativity, passion, and hard work have made our whole school community proud.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to them and thank KArtsCon for providing such an inspiring platform for young artists to shine.
